Many who have taken the Challenge have asked for more, so the Challenge Extension was created! Designed for those who have already completed the 21-Day Challenge, the Extension uses a similar approach and intention. The materials in the Extension are centered around two themes: Intersectionality and Healing. Building out these concepts provides additional critical focal points in understanding experiences and outcomes. As with the original Challenge, CA4Health believes an activity like this helps us to discover how racial, social, and environmental injustices impact community and furthers our ability to connect with one another and identify ways to dismantle forms of discrimination and racism.

We take great care to do our best to select materials that incorporate and reflect the Challenge’s framing around Racial Equity and Social Justice and we acknowledge that this platform cannot highlight all the diversity of experiences and opinions within any community. The Challenge and the Extension are designed to provide perspectives, information, and be springboards to enhance your equity journey.

We also acknowledge that not all materials are fully accessible, and we continue to work to improve this by adding separate transcripts where videos are lacking and providing some additional tips for computer-generated transcripts and text to speech readers HERE

Before you get started, set your intentions and download the Reflection Chart to keep track of your learning, questions, thoughts, ideas, experiences, or any other form of reflection. We encourage you to spend a few minutes after each challenge topic filling out the reflection log. For the Extension, participants are invited to ONE virtual interactive discussion via ZOOM to discuss and reflect on the Extension together. We recommend saving the optional resources when you have additional time.
